The FIFA Women’s World Cup tournament will begin on July 20th with an extra 32-team format, finishing in a full month of elite international FIFA women’s football. New Zealand and Australia are going to be hosting the sporting event.

Ten venues spread across nine places in both countries will host the sporting event. The Sydney Football Stadium and Stadium Australia (which will also host the final) are the two venues that will be used in Sydney.

The following list of teams is qualified:

  • Australia, China, Japan, the Philippines, South Korea, and Vietnam are every member of the AFC (Asia).
  • Morocco, Nigeria, South Africa, and Zambia are all members of the CAF.
  • United States and Panama.
  • Argentina, Brazil, and Colombia are included in CONMEBOL (South America).
  • New Zealand is an OFC (Oceania) members.

On July 20, the first matches will be played: Australia vs. the Republic of Ireland at Stadium Australia in Sydney, and New Zealand vs. Norway at Eden Park in Auckland.

On August 3, the group stage will come to an end after two weeks of thrilling games. On the first day, each host nation will play its first matches. From that point on, three or four games will be played every day until the third of August as part of a daily celebration of football. In the Round of 16, the top two teams from each group will play the runners-up from the other groups. The event will only keep the top two teams from each group.

The present the winners, the United States, have won the competition four times, included the 2019 edition, making them the most successful team thus far. Norway and Japan each won once, while Germany won it twice, in 2007 and 2011.

The current world champion and top-ranked team, the United States, is the clear favorite. The defending European champions, England, are anticipated to do well in this competition. However, they have experienced injury issues with several important players, including captain Leah Williamson, midfielder Fran Kirby, and striker Beth Mead.

A recent 2-1 loss to Brazil has somewhat diminished Germany’s chances, despite the fact that they are a great squad and have been ranked second in the globe.

Gianni Infantino

The president of fifa, said that the award amount for the FIFA 2023 Women’s World Cup of Football will be 110 million dollars during the FIFA Congress. This is a huge increase from the 30 million dollars given out in the last edition. This is still a lot less than the 440 million dollars awarded for the men’s 2022 World Cup, though.
